Who We Are

Port of Egypt Marine has been owned and operated by the Lieblein family since William Lieblein Sr., and his brothers Herb and Herman, discovered the idyllic waterfront location in the 1940s. As youngsters, Williams children — Bill Lieblein (CEO), Elisa Ruroede, Peter Lieblein (retired) and Marlene Westhus (Pool and Grounds Manager) — learned about fishing and boating on the East End while helping others enjoy the local waters. Playing by the docks and working at the family business was a way of life that continues today with the third generation of Lieblein family. In 1960, the company began selling the prestigious brand of Grady-White boats. It became one of the top-selling dealers nationally and been acknowledged annually for leadership in customer service and satisfaction. In 1998, it was the first, and has been the only, Grady-White dealer, among hundreds in the country, to garner both the top sales and customer service awards. It has received many number one kudos and celebrated 50 years as a dealership in 2011. Today, the service departments technicians continue to be re-certified yearly and boat-handling lessons are offered with every sale. Port of Egypt Marine is also a Yamaha flagship dealer and an authorized service dealer of Volvo-Penta engines. Our eight-acre waterfront property with expansive views of Southold Bay, including a bird sanctuary, has full services for visitors arriving by boat or ground transport.
